EXT. FARMLAND – DAWN

Chad in silhouette plays his guitar in an open field, wide open sky with the hint of its coming sun at his back.

The colors of the sky subtly change for the rest of the INTRO until…

The MELODIC GUITAR FOLLOWED BY THE BEAT COMES IN, at which point the sun has stretched across the sky enough to bring light to Chad, along with others who start to appear out of thin air playing guitar behind him. (Slowly craning up and back to a Wide Shot)

With twenty-five other souls playing along at his back we…

LYRICS

(Chad singing)

Lost it on the Chesterfield

or maybe on a gamblin’ wheel

Lost it in a diamond mine

it’s dark as hell and hard to find

DISSOLVE TO:

What I’m lookin’ for

Where the good times gone?

Where the good times gone?

All the stupid fun

and all that shit we’ve done

Where the good times gone?

As soon as Chad is brought back into frame he starts walking forward, the others following suit in unison, (all playing their guitars) camera still slowly falling back…

LYRICS

(Chad singing)

Well I still don’t know

wWth the LAST VERSE TAKING US INTO A BRIEF INSTRUMENTAL Chad starts to play his guitar a little harder and now leading with it as he continues forward, all at his back in sync with the guitar choreography. (Covering it all with Sweeping Wide Shots as well as the original Front Tracking as they forward on)

LYRICS

(Chad singing)

in the old corn field

DISSOLVE TO:

The synchronized ensemble walking down a bare highway with Chad leading, endless corn fields on both sides.

LYRICS

(Chad singing)

Underneath the tractor wheel

Thought I’d dig

‘til I’d found it first

Broke my back and died of thirst

Pouring out of those cornfields, many more, all wielding their own guitar as they join the movement, doubling its size.

LYRICS

(Chad singing)

You can bribe the devil

You can pray to God

You can sell off everything you got

They all come to a stop at once…

LYRICS

(Chad singing)

And you still won’t know

Then continue on with the march.

LYRICS

Oh

Reaching Chad on stage, with Mike on one side and Ryan on the other, they’re now the only three souls left in Times Square as we slowly crane up and out while they play with their strings until…
