FADE IN:

DURING FIRST PART OF INSTRUMENTAL INTRO:

INT. NIGHT CLUB – EVENING

Starting on an Extreme Close-Up of the DRUMS as they start the song.

Beginning with a Smooth Rotating Shot of the band as we Pull Back on them, the circular stage they perform on in the center of the club, Rotating Counter-Clockwise to the Shot.

The band members are all robots, shiny, beautiful, with flashy wardrobe. Their movements are fluid, their faces, realistic. (Think I-Robot, but more stylistic. In both locations of the video, they are robots.)

Diane, at the mic, does a little side-to-side sway to the MUSIC.

DURING SECONG PART OF INSTURMENTAL INTRO:

INT. SCIENCE LAB – DAY

The band members at their day job as scientists (in lab coats and all) work the lab.

INT. NIGHT CLUB – EVENING

Diane leans into the mic and starts to SING.

LYRICS

(singing)

They caught you in the pages

of an empty magazine

Your wires all exposed

like a beautiful machine

INT. SCIENCE LAB – DAY

Diane leans down to peer into a microscope.

LYRICS

LED’s aglow

Extreme Close-Up of her EYE and PUPIL…

LYRICS

Buttons in a row

P.O.V Shot – Cells rapidly clash into each other on the slide.

LYRICS

We seek umbilical disguises

on the screen (and they say…)

INT. NIGHT CLUB – EVENING

Diane continues her little side-to-side movements…

LYRICS

(singing)

Turn it on, do me in

Turn me on, do me in

Turn it on, do me in

Turn me on, do me in

INT. SCIENCE LAB – DAY

Extreme Close-Up as a point of a needle punctures a group of cells. Many of the cells are drawn into the hollowed tip.

LYRICS

Don’t stop, do it again, go use it

Jumpstart, do it again, don’t lose it

INT. NIGHT CLUB – EVENING

Diane.

LYRICS

(singing)

Dominions over now

INT. SCIENCE LAB – DAY

Starting from a bag of blood we Tilt Down on the thin tubes connected to it, following the Dark Red substance as it travels through…

LYRICS

So why’re you riding

on a cheapskate?

Through all the circuitry

I find a face

INT. NIGHT CLUB – EVENING

Diane brings her hand to the side of her head.

LYRICS

(singing)

Flip-flop cruisers blow your mind

INT. SCIENCE LAB – DAY

A pair of human-like eyes rapidly blink.

LYRICS

Trip-hop sutures they rewind

INT. NIGHT CLUB – EVENING

Extreme Close-Up of Diane’s lips.

LYRICS

(singing)

It’s alright

INT. SCIENCE LAB – DAY

Extreme Close-Up of the human-like eyes staring straight ahead.

LYRICS

It’s alright

QUICK CROSSCUTS between facial features that are human-like and that of Diane (In black and white):

LYRICS

We love to dream

In black and white

With the rapid succession of DRUMS, Very Quick Crosscuts between Diane’s face and a face identical to hers, only human-like.

INT. NIGHT CLUB – EVENING

We End the Quick CrossCutting on Diane. As she SINGS to Camera, she brings her hand out to it. On Don’t lose you, We Go From Black and White Back to Color.

LYRICS

(singing)

Don’t lose you

Go lose you

Just do it again… again…

Start to Pull Back to a Wide Shot of the band.

LYRICS

Again…again…

DURING INSTRUMENTAL SECTION:

First Half; Shots of the band members as they PLAY their instruments.

Second Half; As bubbles rise up in tall cylinder-like tanks in what appears to be water.

(Five different shots to represent five separate tanks)

On the last tank that is shown, (which will actually be the center one) Camera Follows bubbles as they rise, passing a human body in flesh tone tights.

The Upward Tilt turns into a Pull Back on unicorn, giving us a Wide Shot of…

A human Diane, her hair floating all about as her submerged body incubates in the tank.

LYRICS

(singing)

Unicorn

Robot Diane stands in front of the tank with her lab coat on, staring admiringly at her counterpart.

(Medium Close-Up)

LYRICS

Unicorn

Starting from a Medium Close-Up of human Diane we Pull Back as she slowly opens her eyes.

Continuing to Pull Back to an Extreme Wide Shot of all five tanks, each holding a human version of a band member.

LYRICS

Unicorn

Ahhh…

DURING SECOND INSTRUMENTAL SECTION:

An Extreme Close-Up of robot Diane’s brilliant finger as it pushes a button.

The water-like substance begins to drain from human Diane’s tank.

Standing in the remaining small puddle, human Diane, frigid and child-like, starts to pull away the wires she’s attached to.

LYRICS

And all the frequencies are open tonight

It isn’t gonna let us out of its sight

And I just know we’re gonna make it alright

Beautiful and wet, she looks out with wide-open eyes to her creator.

LYRICS

‘cause you’re beautiful

With wide-open arms, robot Diane SINGS to her living self.

LYRICS

(singing)

You’re beautiful

INT. NIGHT CLUB – EVENING

Human Diane stands downstage for all to admire. A little shy, but smiling nonetheless.

LYRICS

You’re beautiful

It’s a packed house, as all the robots in the club marvel over the humans onstage. (The human counterparts of the other four band members stand beside their artificial kin)

Robot Diane provides the sentiments of the machine community through vocal expression.

LYRICS

(singing)

You’re beautiful

You’re beautiful

Beautiful

You’re beautiful

Robot Diane – To Camera…

LYRICS

(singing)

Don’t lose it
