FADE IN:

ECU, water starts to travel down a gutter.

A homeless man looks up in anticipation, as does another.

The water in the gutter increases, as does the speed in which it travels.

A small group of homeless people (3 men/1 woman) excitedly start to remove a few articles of clothing each. (Socks, shirts, bra, etc.)

CUT TO:

The four have a happy-go-lucky time as they wash their garments in an area of the gutter where the water accumulates, Curt and Roland, in homeless garb as well, perform around the carefree group. (Curt SINGING to them/Roland playing air instruments. Everyday passersby at their back walkin’ the sidewalk)

LYRICS

(Curt Singing)

I’ve got a bone to pick with you
‘Cause you’re lovin’ every minute of the day
Lost in a space between the lines
Seems like life begins at forty anyway

Quick Shot of Roland…

LYRICS

(Roland Singing)

Hey

We focus on ‘Fur Trader’, who wears an eclectic collection of furs.

We Go Into A Quick FLASHBACK Of Fur Trader’s History, showing a statue of his ancestor, Solomon, then the real one, as he discovers Milwaukee.

LYRICS

Must be a case of spot not feather
Even though they’re boxed together

 BACK TO PRESENT DAY

A Pan From Fur Trader, who is a spitting u\image of Solomon, to Roland.

LYRICS

(Roland Singing)

The orchestra is dead

A homeless guy comes around the corner, French bread in one hand, a can of beef stew in the other. He calls out to the others, whose eyes and smiles grow wider than they already were.

With CU of ‘Stock Trader’ the newspaper which surrounds the loaf of bread comes into view, the visible Wall Street numbers coming to life, which transitions us to a FLASHBACK of Stock Trader’s previous life as a well-to-do Wall Street executive,

BACK TO PRESENT

Back on the street We Fall Back On A Pot Of Boiling Stew, the skid row gang enjoying their lunch as if it were Thanksgiving.

LYRICS

Emil’s Jacuzzi, starting to lose me
Didn’t I warn you
(Floating down the river once again)
Solomon Juneau, someone that you know
How we adore you
(Floating down the river once again)

Nearby, a very rich yet obviously very sick gentleman with cancer is wheeled out of his very swank apartment building in his wheelchair and to an awaiting limo.

‘Scientist’ homeless guy rushes over and tries to get his attention, looking like a mad man as he speaks fast while motioning in the air as if he were writing.

FLASHBACK – In Scientist’s previous life we see him in a lab as a cancer researcher.

BACK TO PRESENT DAY

Everyone takes him as a nonsensical fool, not being able to see the formulaic genius/cure he writes in the air, (which we are able to see) and therefore those who are paid to keep the dying rich man isolated in his comfy little world (that ironically can’t buy him life) do their job and keep the street trash away.

The limo drives off and Scientist throws up his hands in an ‘Oh well’ fashion, then turns and heads back to his street family.

LYRICS

I’ve got a plastic cross to bear
Gonna pick it up and crash into the sun
Fly on a rare collision course
When the race is over just as it’s begun

Curt Is Brought Into Frame, As Is Roland With His Air Instruments (homage to ‘Shout’ video) as both watch the group continue to enjoy each other’s company.

LYRICS

(Curt Singing)

Scientists will pay for this
And rue the day they ever tried
To change your world

SIDEWALK – LATER

The 5 friends now have a good ol’ time on the sidewalk as they dance while makin’ fun of the foot traffic that passes, of whom in turn see nothing but the crazed and dirty plague of society. (Tears For Fears In Frame, PERFORMING))

LYRICS

(Curt/Roland Singing)

Emil’s Jacuzzi, starting to lose me
Didn’t I warn you

During this scene we FLASHBACK on the female, in her previous life as one of the world’s first supermodels.

LYRICS

(Floating down the river once again)
Solomon Juneau, someone that you know
How we adore you
(Floating down the river once again)

BACK TO PRESENT DAY

In a surreal moment the bunch become like fortune tellers as they SING OUT to passersby, pointing out those who will later become homeless themselves.

The bunch continue to SING OUT, only now they’re the clean-cut successful versions of themselves, while those who they pointed out are now the ones who are homeless. (Slo-Mo)

LYRICS

(Group Singing)

Ave Neru Salam
Your secret life is written in your hand
Toy guns for everyone
You’re needed now, a change is gonna come

Back To Reality, the dancin’ friends get into it more, with the last remaining member whose story is about to be told steps up and starts playing an air trumpet, Which Cues Us Into His FLASHBACK.

Where we learn that the old man is the long lost son of Louis Armstrong, being trained by the legend himself as a little boy.

BACK TO PRESNT DAY

With their continued homeless ho-down.

Tears For Fears In Foreground PERFORMING, street friends at their back.

LYRICS

(Curt Singing)

Scientists will pay for this
And rue the day they ever tried
To change your world

Emil’s Jacuzzi, starting to lose me
Didn’t I warn you
(Floating down the river once again)
Solomon Juneau, someone that you know
How we adore you
(Floating down the river once again)

Emil’s Jacuzzi, starting to lose me
Didn’t I warn you
(Floating down the river once again)
Solomon Juneau, someone that you know
How we adore you
(Floating down the river once again)

We Finish Out The SONG/VIDEO With The Gang Enjoying Themselves In Their Carefree Celebration, completely ignoring the members of ‘regular society’ who pass by while trying to avoid them.
