 DISSOLVE TO:

INT. LIVING ROOM – MORNING

With his back turned to the camera someone wearing a suit packs his clothes in a suitcase.

Slowly start to Push In on him to a Low Angle Frontal Shot.

LYRICS

Maybe you see me

I’m always happy

Camera continues its fluid movement, Tilting Up to show his face is that of a Clown. He’s a clown puppet, but very life-like. (Like at the beginning of ‘Being John Malkovich’). His movements so close to being natural, yet there’s that hint of puppetry.

LYRICS

But in my back

I’m a lonely clown.

Close-Up of a framed happy picture of the clown with a Clown puppet girl.

LYRICS

Everytime I wake up it seems,

The picture is in the Clown’s hand, him looking down at it.

LYRICS

Your face I want to see in smile.

He places the picture on top of his clothes. His hand gently leaves it, showing the precious memento it is.

The top of the suitcase comes down. It’s latched into place.

INT. BEDROOM – MOMENTS LATER

The clown girl is in bed, asleep. She’s beautiful. (Slowly Pulling Back)

LYRICS

Try to hold me one more time,

bring me back from where I start.

The clown’s hand is on the open door, his open palm resting against it. (In the Backgound, girl clown in bed)

LYRICS

Chances are not yet fading,

But…

Close-Up of the clown’s face, looking in on her. A single tear rolls down his cheek.

LYRICS

The clown starts to-

Cry.

He turns to leave. (Slo-Mo)

LYRICS

Hard to say that I really need you.

From inside the doorway of the bedroom, we watch as the clown walks away. (Very Slowly Pulling Back).

LYRICS

I… I can’t pretend

That I am still in love

with you.

Speed Up the Pull Back a little with those last two words- “with you”. The bed comes into frame before we…

DISSOLVE TO:

6 Cycle Mind on stage. (Ney with mic and mic stand in Foreground). He’s a life-like puppet too! As are the others. They perform.

Don’t get me wrong,

He puts his hands to his chest.

LYRICS

‘Coz I know you’re still here.

Don’t get me wrong,

‘Coz I know you still feel me.

DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. THE HOUSE – MORNING

Extreme Close-Up of a hand on a doorknob, closing the front door.

LYRICS

Hold me tight one more time.

The clown exits the walkaway of the house, suitcase in hand, a rimmed hat on his head.

LYRICS

Bring me back from where I start.

He turns onto the sidewalk and walks away.

LYRICS

Chances are not yet fading-

But

The clown starts to-

Cry.

MATCH CUT:

EXT. PARK – DAY

(From a High Angle, Start To Crane Down).

The clown sits in a park, squirrels all around him, including on his lap, eating the peanuts he feeds them.

LYRICS

Maybe you see me

I’m always happy-

He suddenly stands up and gazes ahead, as if being beckoned by an unseen force.

LYRICS

Maybe you see me

I’m always happy-

He walks, guided by a sense of urgency.

LYRICS

Maybe you see me

I’m always happy-

The clown speeds up. It turns into a run. His hat falls off. It doesn’t phase him.

LYRICS

Maybe you see me

I’m always happy-

His run turns into a sprint…

LYRICS

Maybe you see me

I’m always happy-

The Camera rotates Around Him 180 Degrees. He’s there in front of the clown girl’s house. (His back facing the camera)

LYRICS

But in my back,

I’m a lonely clown.
